In the 21st Century Learning Lab, students go from being consumers of digital media to becoming creators of digital media - from using Photoshop, to creating a digital collage, to designing a 3D high-rise using SketchUp software, to programming a video game in Scratch software, to working in teams to build a virtual theme park in Minecraft software. Students learn on state-of-the-art equipment, including touch screen computers and Promethean Boards (where learners can easily work together in teams) and iPads for every student. The seating arrangements facilitate collaboration, and built-in whiteboards allow student groups to brainstorm and plan their projects together.
